What Therapy Together May Look Like

I use the IFS model and a collaborative compassionate approach to help you identify and understand your inner system so you can connect with your core Self. Our sessions will also strongly focus on developing a trusting working relationship, with me but more importantly with yourself — helping you to minimize internal chaos and feel more balance and harmony.

Every person is different. I tailor Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy to your goals, experiences, and nervous system so therapy feels collaborative rather than one-size-fits-all. In this short video, I share what it’s like to work with me as a therapist and how I approach healing through curiosity, compassion, and collaboration. I discuss Internal Family Systems (IFS), neurodivergence (ADHD and autism), and creating space for healing that feels individualized and deeply understood.

How IFS Looks in Therapy

Internal Family Systems (IFS) views the mind as naturally containing different parts—each with good intentions, even when their strategies no longer serve us.

IFS invites curiosity and understanding.

Exiles
Parts that carry pain, fear, loneliness, shame, or unmet needs.

Managers
Protective parts that try to keep life organized, controlled, safe, or predictable.

Firefighters
Protective parts that respond quickly when emotions become overwhelming—often through distraction, avoidance, urgency, numbing, or action.

The goal of IFS is not to eliminate parts, but to help them feel safer and allow more access to Self—our natural capacity for compassion, curiosity, confidence, calm, courage, creativity, connectedness, and clarity.

I hope to guide you and hold space for you as you reduce internal chaos, experience more balance and harmony within, and begin living with greater freedom from burdens and negative beliefs.

In IFS, Self energy includes compassion, curiosity, clarity, calm, connectedness, creativity, confidence, courage…
