Autism-Informed Therapy
Autism-Informed Therapy
Autism is often misunderstood.
For some people, it may look like sensory sensitivities, social exhaustion, feeling different, difficulty recovering from demands, intense interests, rigidity, masking, burnout, emotional intensity, needing time to process, or feeling like life seems harder than it appears to be for others.
Many adults I work with have spent years adapting to environments that did not fit them. Some have been misunderstood, overlooked, diagnosed later in life, or learned to hide parts of themselves in order to belong. Others appear highly capable externally while privately feeling exhausted, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure why life feels harder than it seems to for others.
My approach is collaborative, neurodivergent-affirming, and grounded in curiosity rather than shame.
I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and often work through a lens that explores not only behaviors but also the internal experiences underneath them. Rather than assuming deficits or trying to change who you are, therapy may focus on understanding patterns, reducing shame, increasing self-understanding, and creating a life that fits your nervous system and values.
Therapy may include understanding sensory experiences, masking, burnout, identity, relationships, communication differences, self-worth, nervous system responses, boundaries, transitions, and exploring what support looks like in a way that honors your individual needs.
I provide virtual therapy for adults throughout California.
If you are looking for support that balances accountability with compassion and curiosity, you can schedule a consultation.
