ADHD Therapy
ADHD can impact far more than attention.
For many adults, ADHD shows up as difficulty getting started, decision paralysis, procrastination, emotional intensity, overwhelm, losing track of time, forgetting things that matter deeply, difficulty transitioning between tasks, and feeling frustrated that effort does not seem to match outcomes.
Many people I work with have spent years believing they are lazy, unmotivated, irresponsible, too emotional, too much, or simply not trying hard enough. Others have learned to compensate so effectively that their struggles are not visible to others while internally life feels exhausting.
My approach is collaborative, neurodivergent-affirming, and grounded in curiosity rather than shame.
I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and often work through a lens that explores not only behaviors but also the internal experiences underneath them. Rather than assuming resistance or lack of motivation, we may explore protective strategies, nervous system responses, competing needs, identity, expectations, and patterns that developed for good reasons.
Adults with ADHD often spend years wondering why life feels harder than it should. Therapy can help make sense of those patterns while reducing shame and building strategies that actually fit your brain.
